The Wildland Firefighter is a member of TDB’s On-Call Contract Crew hired by the BC Wildfire Service to support the delivery of wildfire management in BC to protect rural communities, natural resources, and wildlife habitats.
The Weigh Scaler (Weighmaster) is responsible for weighing inbound and outbound logging trucks and accurately entering data at TDB’s client sites in a fast paced, high volume environment.
The Log Scaler is responsible for grading logs, measuring log volume, inspecting logs for defects and estimating the marketable content or value of sample loads in TDB’s client sort yards.
The Residue and Waste Surveyor is responsible for measuring the volume and quality of standing or felled timber that is not reserved from cutting and remains on site upon the completion of primary logging.
The Forestry Field Assistant is responsible for supporting project teams in all aspects of multiphase timber development by assisting other forestry professionals with land navigation, data collection and data recording.
The Forest Technician is responsible for providing technical expertise and support to project teams in all aspects of multiphase timber development as well as data collection, data recording, and land navigation.
The GIS Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of intermediate technical work in the development and maintenance of GIS data, applications, procedures and standards; and for supporting the creation of mapping products by processing raw data into final deliverable products.
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for safe and efficient operation of TDB’s forestry logging equipment and for supporting TDB’s forest harvesting operations in a challenging and demanding environment.
